About the Ariege

The Ariege is a beautiful rural department nestling in the foothills of the Pyrenees. Toulouse and Carcassonne are less than an hour away. Both have international airports, with regular flights to and from the UK and Ireland.

Spain is very close too as is the Mediterranean, so from here you can be in Barcelona and the seaside in a matter of hours. The Ariege offers fantastic skiing in the winter and plenty of outdoor activities in the summer which are long and hot. It's a lovely place to live or to come on holiday!
