About French Discoveries
French Discoveries is a name only. It actually refers to a team of associates who work together on both sides of the channel. The company Frenchdiscoveries(TTM)Ltd is the UK side of the association and manages and controls the marketing, legal services and sets the specification of the standards required for the protection of potential clients and of the service to be provided by our French associates when you arrive in France.
Over the years, each local team we work with in France has built up a wealth of knowledge and experience. The associates have come together to formulate ‘best practice’ within the industry. We are of course always learning more and more all the time from each other and pass on the benefits to our clients. The situations and legalities in France are complex, bureaucratic, and always changing and up to date knowledge we all know is so important.
All of the key people in each of the areas we work with are (you may have read about) registered ‘agent commercials’ or indeed the ‘carte professionelle’ holders themselves and are therefore fully licensed to negotiate and sell property in France. (These are French terms relating to the business but when you arrive in France you will be greeted only by our English speaking associates).
Back here in the UK, we have an exhibition design and planning unit in Alton, an accounts office in Portsmouth and a legal services and administration function in Birmingham whereby legal paperwork is received and then processed on an individual needs basis. It is all too easy for us or anyone to say ‘we have the answers’ every time. We prefer to research each individual case first and then contact the individual specialists within the industry that over the years we have learnt are best placed for the correct advice and solution for you, particularly regarding method of purchase and inheritance advice.
From start to finish we all believe that from the day you arrive on our exhibition stand, or this website, or read our adverts, that we should keep things easy to understand, make ourselves approachable and friendly, and that once you then make contact we should be responsive, flexible, businesslike and communicate well in plain speaking English and avoid the mystyque and jargon that so many agents use.
We organise frequent exhibitions in the UK, and really recommend that you come and meet us face to face, and since our associates are so often on our stand you will be meeting the people who will greet you in France and show you properties. We believe this is the best way for you to get to know us and for us to understand your requirements. We can discuss your renovation plans and even schooling for your children and pension schemes if you are retiring to France.
We remain in touch with our clients long after the transaction, and the day a client wants to stop talking to us should only be the day they have no more questions and everything has been sorted.
