4.3. Personal Enquiries in France

Branch counters are getting fewer and smaller as the use of automatic cash dispensers increases.

In order to improve security, branch counters are often open and your conversations overheard by others in the queue. Accordingly, you are likely to have to make an office appointment for confidential enquiries.

If you need specialist advice you may well have to pay for the service, unless the bank think you might be buying a product or service from them!

The cash dispensers can give account information and provide basic services.
