Uploading and Resizing images


Images uploaded to the IFP website need to be in Jpeg format and at a resolution of 1024x768 or below. Today most digital camera’s are 4MP (megapixels) or more which results is some fairly large images, these will need to be resized in order to upload correctly.


If you use Adobe Photoshop

  • From the file menu, select open and browse to the image you would like to resize.
  • Once loaded in photoshop, go to the image menu and select ‘Image size’.
  • Here you will be able to adjust the number of pixels in the image.
  • Ensure that the ‘Constrain Proportions’ tick box is checked.
  • Adjust the width to any of the following: 1024, 800, 640 or 450.
  • You should notice the height changing accordingly.
  • Press ok to return to the image.
  • Finally go to the file menu and select ‘Save for Web’.
  • Here you can confirm the file in a jpeg before pressing save.


If you use IRfanview – Available free from IRfanview

  • From the file menu, select open and browse to the image you would like to resize.
  • Once opened, go to the image menu and select ‘Resize/Resample’.
  • Here you will be able to adjust the number of pixels in the image.
  • Ensure the ‘Preserve aspect ratio’ tick box is checked.
  • Adjust the width to any of the following: 1024, 800, 640 or 450.
  • You should notice the height changing accordingly.
  • Press ok to return to the image.
  • Finally go to the file menu and select ‘Save as..’.
  • Ensure the file type is ‘JPG – JPEG’ before pressing save.


Uploading images

To upload or amend images please follow the instructions below.

  • Log in to your account through our homepage.
  • Then select 'Private Property Advertisements'.
  • Click 'Edit' on the 'Private Property Advertisements' page.































  • Select 'Click here to Edit Images' at the top of the edit advertisment page.






















  • If necessary, delete any unwanted images by clicking on the 'delete' text.
  • Select how many images you wish to upload. Using the 'Browse' button select each image to upload one at a time and, if desired provide a title. Click 'Upload Images' when you are satisfied with the changes. All images need to be uploaded in jpeg format, optimum size 450x 450 pixels.
  • Click on the 'Finalise' button when you are happy with the changes.

  • This will redirect you to the 'Edit' page. Here, you can make any other required changes to the advert, remembering to click 'Save Changes'. Then select 'Click here if you have finished adding/editing your advert' to return to the Advertise your property page.
  • To log out, click on Your profile and then click 'Log out of the IFP site'
