The Log-in box is located in the top left of the homepage, just under the “Home” button, as shown in fig.1. If you are not a registered IFP user, click the “Register” link to create an account.
Once logged in, access your account page by clicking “Your Account” located in the top right hand side of the homepage.
2. Creating a new classified advertisement
Fig.2 "Your Account"

To create a new advertisement you must navigate to the “Private Property Advertisements” section. This can be found under the “Advertising” section of “Your Account”.
If you have not already registered as a classified advertiser you will need to do so. Under the “Advertising” section of “Your Account” you will find the registration links. Click the link that corresponds to the type of advertisement you would like to create, either a classified property advertiser, or a rental property advertiser. Once your registration is confirmed, you will be directed to the "Private property advertisements" section.
You are now at the classified property management screen. From here you can create new advertisements and resume incomplete advertisements. You can also edit or update the details of existing advertisements. To begin with we will demonstrate how to create a new advert.
To start the new advertisement wizard, click the “Create a new Property Advert” link.
Top Tip!
Make sure you have your full property details to hand, as well as your address details if this is your first classified advertisement. We recommend writing and saving the description for you advert in a word document on your home computer.
The new advertisement wizard is divided into 5 stages...
- Stage 1 - Advert type and property location
- Stage 2 - Address details of advertiser
- Stage 3 - Full property details
- Stage 4 - Images of property
- Stage 5 - Preview advert and edit/confirm details
Stage 1
Select the type of advert that you would like to create, then select the department in which your property is located , and the town which it is closest too. Once these boxes are filled in, click “Submit”.
Stage 2
This stage of the wizard requires you to enter your address details. These are your personal details that you would like to use for billing information, not the details of the property you are selling.
Our system keeps a record of your address details, so when you create a second advertisement, this form will already be completed for you.
If any of the details are incorrect, please change them here and our records will be updated.
Stage 3
Fig.3 "Stage 3"

The third stage is a form for entering the main details of your property.
Enter the title of the advertisement and the price of the property.
If you have any extra price specific information, enter it into the price comment box.
You are also able to enter 5 highlights. These appear near the top of your property advert and should display the best features about your property to grab the viewer’s interest.
The description box allows you to enter a full description of your property.
Please make sure you enter as much information as possible as this makes your property a lot easier to find via the search engine.
Top Tip!
Supplying detailed and accurate information is a good way to ensure the enquiries you get are suitable for the property that you are advertising.
Use the location box to provide a little more information about the property's immediate location.
Any further specific features your property may have can be detailed in the position box and other related boxes. You may select as many features from each section that apply to your property.
The final boxes relate to your property condition and other important property information.
Top Tip!
Do not worry if you make a mistake at this stage, you will be able to correct the advertisement before payment is complete, and edit the advertisement once it is online.
When this information is complete, click “continue” to proceed to the next stage.
Stage 4
Fig.4 "Stage 4"

You will now be able to upload images of your property. A normal classified property advertisement is allowed a maximum of 10 pictures associated with it, while a premium classified advertisement allows you to have an unlimited number of images.
To upload your images, select the number you require to upload and fill in a title for each. Next, click the “Browse…” button to locate the images on your home computer.
All the images you upload will appear at the bottom of the screen. You can Edit the title of an image, change its position or remove it by using the links next to the images.
When you are happy with the images associated with your property, click the “Finalise” button near the top of the page to continue.
Stage 5
Once you have completed the 4 stages of the advertisement wizard you will have a chance to review your property details. A preview of the completed advertisement is shown below.
If you would like to change any of the property details, click “Edit my Property Details”. When you are happy with your advertisement, click “Continue to Payment”. This will take you to our online payment system.
Once you have completed the billing process, your advert will be placed online and you will receive a conformation email.
3. Managing existing advertisements
You will now be able to manage your advertisments. Once you are logged in, in your account, click on "Private Property Advertisments", this will enable you to create a classifed advert and manage any existing ones that have been created.
You will also be able to move these advertisments online (will be visible to users) and offline (will not be visible to users). This will give you the advantage of being able to rotate your properties.
You will be able to edit the details of you properties to correspond with construction or aesthetic changes made to any of them, thus allowing you to update the information of your property advertisments and display them to the user.
You will be able to delete pictures you have already uploaded for your advertisments and upload new ones, you can also change the order the pictures are displayed.
More information coming soon...
