Burgundy is a land full of traditions and renowned for its wines Here are the different types of accomodations you could find:
  • Gites de France

The Gites de France label is the most famous and serious label for Gites in France and thus in Burgundy. It has full support of the French Ministry for Tourism for its quality. 42 000 gites are represented. Though really authentic, they often offer wireless Internet. In Burgundy, gites are to be found mainly in towns like Autun, Auxerre, Beaune, Châlon-sur-Sâone, Cluny (wonderful abbey), Decize, Dijon, Mâcon, Nevers/Paray-le-Monial/Vézelay (renowned for their religious legacy and life, past and present).
  • Cottages in Burgundy

Many cottages can be found and prices are not high in Burgundy, though it is close to Paris and Lyon. The region is famous for its thatched cottages, which provide a unique atmosphere and allow you to jump back in time. Come and enjoy this traditional accommodation.
  • Rent or buy an apartment

Apartments in Burgundy are mostly located in towns and are very practically laid out. In the outskirts or in the coubntryside, furnished holiday flats are often part of outbuildings attached to a vast estate. Rentals prices are there particularly attractive, as the average rent is €8.4 /sq m.
