The Gites de France
The Gites de France label is the most famous and serious label for gîtes in France. More than 1,600 certifies gîtes are to be found in Languedoc. They often come with a generous plot of land allowing you to fully enjoy the exceptional climate of the area from your terrace or your garden. Though offering all modern facilities, most of them are very traditional and characteristic of the region.
Cottages in Languedoc-Roussillon
Cottages for rent are foremost located in towns outskirts and hamlets. As often in the region, they can come with a private swimming pool. Languedoc being a popular tourist destination, the offer is wide and whether you are looking for a traditional cottage or a recent property, there is something for everyone. A piece of advice we could give you would be not to focus on the seafront but try to discover the hinterland that is little-known but so authentic and still 'wild' in some secluded areas.
Rent or buy an apartment
Bargains are really difficult to find in this region - especially on the coastline - due to the high demand for real estate; the area is however a blue chip if you plan to invest in a buy-to-let. You will find many luxury apartments with really high standards of quality of living.
