Limousin Trains and Stations.

To boost tourism the Limousin region needs a good train network.

  • The region boasts towns as well as a number of villages. The rail network is linking the region to the rest of France and to Paris but accessing the region quickly has long been a difficult challenge. Things are becoming better and better.
  • If you live close to London, travelling by train is a real possibility. You can catch Eurostar at St Pancras, direct to Limousin. For those who enjoy train travel and those who prefer to avoid airport stress, it is the perfect solution.
  • The TGV (high-speed train line, the fastest train in the world) now links the region to Paris. You can now reach the european capitals and airports in few hours from Brive, Limoges or La Souterraine.
  • Plan 1h45 to get to Lyon, 2h to Brussels, 2h40 to London and 2h25 to Strasbourg. If this seems too long, you can also take a plane from or to the region.
