Under the “Vins de Pays Charentais” name, you will find some really tasty, mild and fine French wines, renowned for their harmony with all kinds of meat. There are red, rosé and white Poitou-Charentes wines as well.
Usually the most renowned ones are wines of Haut Poitou, produced with Chardonnay, Sauvignon and Gamay as well as Cabernet will elegantly accompany your cooking.
These wines are really appreciated for their light body. Particularly fresh, you will savour their vivacity when consumed with red meats or fishes.
