Hazelnut  Cottage is an ancient stone house that has been recently renovated to a very high standard - with exposed stone walls, beamed ceilings throughout, a large stone and bricou fireplace, an ancient stone sink (now used as a setting for a collection of antique bibelots, plates etc) and so much character. 
Sue and David have furnished it with a mixture of antique and modern but comfortable furniture and it is equipped to make your holiday a true delight.  We have been letting since 2005 and have had people from all over the world who have been delighted with the wrap-around feel of this spacious cottage (150m² on 3 levels)
Although we prefer to have only 4 people at any one time  (there is a large double bedroom and bathroom with WC on the first floor level, and a twin bedroom with separate  shower room and WC at the garden level) there is a large comfortable sofa- bed in the lounge for anyone who wishes to perhaps have a friend to visit or a family with 3 children.
The garden is fenced and so your car can be parked in security, your pets and your children can play in safety.  The flower beds are packed with a variety of roses, flowering shrubs, herbaceous and annual flowers and of course there is the Hazelnut tree from which the cottage gets its name - a welcome shade in the heat of the summer.
In 2007 we installed a new high-quality wood-framed above-ground pool (6m x 3m and approx 1.1m deep) with removeable access steps so that small children cannot get in without supervision  and thus parents can relax and enoy their holiday to the full.  It's a great place to cool off and we are hoping to be able to install solar panels in 2008 to extend the season.
The area has so much to offer, good food and wine, golden stone medieval villages and market towns to explore, Chateaux to visit, rivers to canoë along and forests to walk in .. and there is always the choice of simply sitting and looking and listening and relaxing!  We provide a large selection of local tourist information, guidebooks and 'coffee table' books on the area, and are happy to help at any time - we only live a short drive away. 
For those who can speak french, the neighbours are quiet but friendly and love to have a chat with people staying at the cottage - they have chickens and ducks and cats and pigeons and are lovely people but do not intrude on your privacy.
