Previously the farmhouse to a well-established vineyard, Le Roc Nord offers you and your family not only an idyllic location for self-catering holidays with sunshine, peace and wonderful historical countryside, but also the opportunity to enjoy plenty of activities and superb food and wine. The farmhouse, which was meticulously renovated in 2002, is spacious and equipped to a very high standard that we ourselves would like to find when on holiday.

The extremely flexible accommodation is suitable for parties of all sizes. For 1 or 2 couples it is ideal, offering the ground floor and all the facilities the upstairs rooms will be closed off and unoccupied. For larger groups of up to 8 the full accommodation is available plus all the facilities. The weekly rate will depend on the size of your party.


GROUND FLOOR

The large airy salon is comfortably furnished with sofas and chairs, satellite TV, VCR and music centre.

The farmhouse kitchen has a pine table and chairs and a magnificent range of built-in wooden cupboards provides ample storage. The kitchen is very well equipped with gas cooker, fridge/freezer, dish washer, washing machine, microwave and food processor.

A double and a twin bedroom, both with en suite shower rooms.

FIRST FLOOR

The sitting room is a large open plan area with sofas and chairs, TV, video and a good selection of board games and books.

A double or twin bedded room, depending on your requirements the beds can be made up as you wish and a twin bedded room.

These two bedrooms share a large bathroom with bath, shower, WC and bidet.

A cot and high chair are available on request.

There is central heating for the cooler months.

FACILITIES

The heated 10m x 5m swimming pool is treated by a salt system and completely enclosed to ensure safety.

Attached to the farmhouse is a spacious Gamesroom with a table tennis table and darts board and there are two large terraces on the sides of the farmhouse.

Terrace & pool furniture, barbecues, boules, badminton, swing, sandpit and a paddling pool for little ones. Mountain bikes can be hired locally

Our village of St. Vivien is only a 1km walk away, with shop and wine co-operative and the nearby town of Vélines (3km) has shops, bar, doctor and pharmacy. The nearest supermarkets are in Ste. Foy la-Grande or Montpon, both a 15-minute drive. There are local markets every day of the week.

The large lake at Lac de Gurson (6km) has a range of leisure and sporting activities, several bars and restaurants. Chateau Vigiers 18 hole golf course is ½hr, whilst the 9 hole course at Chateau Les Merles is ¾ hr. Canoeing on the River Dordogne is 10 minutes.

Locally there is an excellent selection of restaurants, offering a wide choice of local and cordon bleu cuisine.
