An old, traditional house, attached studio apartment, garage and courtyard, in the Périgord Noir region of the southern Dordogne. It is in a small, pretty village with basic shops and primary school, 6km from the town of Lalinde where there are further shopping facilities, doctor, dentist, schools etc.

The property is divided into two, the main part consisting of house and private courtyard and an old house/garage to restore; the second part a ground floor studio and small garage. The adjoining house/garage is owned “en viager”, which means that the current owners bought it from the previous owner but have to continue to pay him a rent of 51€ per month until his death, after which time they become the full owners with no rent due.

The main house, studio and garage were re-roofed in 2003; the shutters of the house are new as are the windows, and some of the studio windows and some doors. A new bathroom has been fitted in the studio. The original stonework has been exposed both inside and out, and repointed. Drainage is to a septic tank, though there is mains drainage in the village which only needs connection.
