Environment


The advantages of being in a co-proprietership are costs and maintenance are shared, plus greater security if your property is empty. The potential for rental is excellent and clients return to Chez Lopt year after year. There are two good restaurants in the village and a small hotel. The nearby village of St Severin has all the amenities of shops, small weekly market, bank etc and Riberac is a 15 minute drive for large supermarkets. There are two beautiful river beaches close by, for swimming/ canoeing, a lake for swimming/sailing, golf, horse riding and many other traditional Dordogne villages to visit to enjoy the local produce and ambience. The house is easily accessible in a day’s drive from the UK, the TGV calls at Angouleme 45 minutes away and there are frequent flights to Bergerac, Angouleme and Limoges, with Bordeaux less than an hour and a half away.


The swimming pool and grounds are maintained for you, all year round for a very reasonable annual charge, so no maintenance or work to do. this is the perfect "lock it and leave it" holiday home. Come and go as you please and stay for as long or as little as you like. Very reasonably priced with nothing to do except enjoy!! Fly in to Bergerac (one hour) or catch the TGV to Angouleme (les than an hour). Limoges airport is about 90 minutes.
