The apartments offer accommodation for 20 persons. The castle can be used as one large home or one can use each apartment as a separate house. Each apartment is lockable and has its own entry.

Castle

Ground floor (130 m2) Main entrance with large reception (50 m2) with a monumental staircase and open fireplace  Apartment 1:  lobby, salon, kitchen, laundry room, 2 bedrooms and bathroom with shower and toilet.

1st floor (120 m2) Landing with attractive cast-iron balustrade, giving access to Apartment 2: salon, kitchen, 3 bedrooms, large bathroom and separate toilet. The apartment can also be accessed by a monumental entrance at the rear of the castle.

2nd floor (130 m2) Apartment 3: hall, spacious lounge with balcony, kitchen, 3 bedrooms, bathroom with shower and separate toilet.

3rd floor (100 m2) Apartment 4: landing, lounge, kitchen, 2 bedrooms and bathroom with bath and shower and separate toilet.

Apartments 3 and 4 are accessible through a separate side entrance and tower staircase or from within. One can reach the castle through a park with a 200 m. long driveway with an outside garage (45 m2) at the beginning.

Cottage

Ground floor (70 m2) Entrance, open kitchen and salon(30 m2) through a door connected to a large garage/storage (40 m2) with separate outside access. Next to the entrance there are 2 large garages that can be used for storage. In front of the house a large terrace offers a view of the lake.

1st floor (70 m2) Landing with toilet, bathroom, 2 bedrooms and an office. Above the two garages is yet a large open area (approx. 50 m2) with private rear entrance, which can be arranged as a separate apartment or studio.

Specialities

• Recently the whole castle has been substantially restored, retaining all the original elements (completion end of 2006) and is immediately habitable. Amongst others the following issues have been renovated: all electricity, plumbing, roofs and ceilings, insulation, floors, walls and central heating


•  In 2003 a double Viessmann central heating unit with a 5000 lt. fuel reservoir have been installed.


• The cottage has also been renovated and is immediately habitable.


• The luxury apartments in the castle can sleep a total of 20 persons, allowing a rental income of approx. 50,000 euros in the summer months.

Surroundings

The estate is located at 4 km distance between the villages Vandoire and Champagne-et-Fontaine and is situated in the nature reserve La Toubière. Within a 10 minutes drive a nice golf court is located, near the medieval town of Aubeterre. At 1.5 hours drive are 3 international airports.
