Beautiful guesthouse property in an idylic setting. Open all year, we offer cosy comfort for the winter months, with woodburners and electric blankets for the beds. For the summer months guests can have use of the main 16x11m pool and Jacuzzi. There is fresh fruit and home made jam for breakfast. There are 3 room combinations available, 2 doubles and a twin room. We only rent more than one room if people know each other as there is one bathroom. The Terrace Room has it's own balcony/terrace for enjoying a glass of wine whilst watching the sunset. The Yellow Room is cool in summer with shutters. The Green Room is twin bedded with the option of a 3rd single bed. Quiet peaceful with nothing to disturb but birdsong.In the heart of the Bordeaux and Bergerac wine regions close to St.Emilion. The obvious attraction is wine tasting and buying as well as Chateaux visiting. We can arrange wine tastings for you at local vineyards, where the prices will astound you! A good medal winning wine can be bought for less than 5 euros! The area is not just about wine. The food that goes with it is also excellent, with seafood specialities, Foie Gras, Duck, Truffles and Mushrooms. The countryside is gently rolling hills with forests and vineyards, small bastide towns date from the 12th Century, an area steeped in history from the Roman times.Plenty of activities for the young and young at heart: Canoeing, Horse-riding, Karting, FunGolf, AquaParks, Tennis, Golf are just some of the things on offer. The beaches of the Atlantic coast are famous for surfing. A visit to the largest sand dune in Europe is a must at Arcachon.
