The house dates back some 300 years and still retains a few original features such as the chais, the VATS, the cow stalls and a hayloft ladder.

The stunning entrance hall still has the original cow stalls and the VATS from the chais where the wine was made.

The lounge is large and spacious with a dining area incorporated. There is a large woodburning stove in the fireplace should you need to light a fire. In the corner of the room is a bar fully equipped with optics and a sink. Ideal for BBQs and entertaining. There is a CD player and games for evenings spent indoors. There are 2 large sofas and 2 armchairs in the lounge. Also a small TV with English channels should you get home sick ! Patio doors go straight on to the terrace and swimming pool.

The dining room also boast a superb fireplace with comfy seating around it. The large oak dining table extends to 7 ft long. There are plenty of glasses, napkins and tableware in the many sideboards and wall dressers.

The kitchen is fully equipped with crockery and cutlery for 12 people. There is an electric oven with gas hob and a separate microwave. In the centre of the room is a small breakfast table with seating for 4 people. There is a woodburner for extra warmth should you need it. A back door takes you out to the terrace and garden.

The washing machine is stored in a separate utility area. There is also an iron and ironing board.

The house has 4 bedrooms – a twin and a double downstairs and two further doubles upstairs. None of the bedrooms have en suites but there are two spacious bathrooms – one upstairs and one downstairs. The bedrooms are comfortable and simply furnished and all the bedding is provided, as are towels.

There is a separate toilet on the ground floor.

There is a covered terrace area with steps leading down to the swimming pool. There is a table and chairs on the terrace for outside dining. The garden is laid to lawn with various shrubs and views across the neighbouring countryside and vine fields. There is a washing line should you need it.
