The nearby town of Nérac is a 'sous préfecture' which is very useful for any administrative paperwork.  Its also a very attractive town, situated on the river Baïse, for walks along the river banks or boat rides.

Agen, the main town of the department, is about half an hour away by car. Flights to the UK will shortly be operating from Agen, or currently from Bergerac (just over an hour away), Bordeaux (about an hour by motorway), and Toulouse (an hour and a half by motorway).  

The closest motorway access is at Aiguillon (about 15 minutes away).
