Description

2 Bedrooms, lounge kitchen open plan, balcony, bathroom and toilet.
Salies de Bearn area
Brochures availabe in the apartment and at the town tourist office.
Salies de Bearn one of the few medieval villages left in tact.
Relax and sip a cafe, stroll the streets, eat a pizza, sip a Guiness at the Irish pub, dine at many local resteraunts. The local market is every Thursday and neighouring towns on other days. Visit the Thermes in Salies de Bearn a heated  therapeutic spa and swimming pool, indoor and outdoor. Water massage jets are wonderfully relaxing.
Biarritz has a beauftiful rocky coastline with sandy beaches, Biarritz is todays Europes surf capital.
Bayonne famous for its 'fete' 5 days of non-stop festivities. Bayonne is also know for its bull fighting in August, and its famous ham. (Danish bacon is still the best!) 30 minutes drive.
St Jean de Luz, the old 'Pirates town" with a beautiful harbour. In the place Louis XIV are the ever poplular artists, who display their paintings along the street.  You can even get your portrait painted 'while you wait'. In the harbour you can take a boat to see the sights. It has a wondruful sandy beach in a natural bay. 40 minutes drive.
Dax, famed for its natural hot water of 62.5 degrees centigrade, and healing mud from the River Adour. The Roman baths are a focal point. There are several hot water outlets around the town where you can take a mud bath, or just bath in the waters. In August Dax hold its annual fete, two weeks of celebratiions ending in a magnificinet firework display.
Directions to get there
Routes from Calais can be meailed if required. We rare 600 niles south of Caliasi, easy driving all the way. ryanire fly from Stanstead to Birarritz and Pau twice daily, then also fly from Liverpool to Bergeracq.
Directons from Biarritz,
Take the A64 in the direction of Pau.
Exit at exit 7 and drive towards Salies de Bearn
When you reach a round-about with a fountain turn right into the town.

The Aquitaine coastline is one long beach of fine sand and rocky coves. 250 km in a single stretch. There is also the largest sand dune in Europe at Arcachon which is a 2.5 hour drive. Sking, walking, surfing, swimming, hiking, cycling, horse riding, golfing, shopping and much more all within a few minutes drive.
The weather here is mild all year, very warm in summer months.
