Saint-Flour is close to the toll-free motorway A75 (10 minutes away). To the south, this motorway leads to the Mediterranean coast and Montpellier's airport in  2 hours (across the Millau viaduct), and also to Rodez airport in 1h30. To the north, it links with the city of Clermont-Ferrand and its airport in 1 hour. These 3 airports provide easy access from/to UK. Saint-Flour is also on the railway line Paris-Beziers.


Saint-Flour's surroundings have much to offer and will attract people wishing to find a vast unspoiled space, still reasonably preserved from tourism. You can access a multitude of landscapes: old dormant volcanoes, mountains, large upland pasture plateaux, deep gorges, sinuous rivers, lakes, and immense forests.


The town is close to the famous Garabit viaduc, which was built by Gustave Eiffel. It overlooks a lake, where water sports and fishing can be enjoyed.


Half an hour away, you can access the resort of Le Lioran (1,250 m altitude), where many activities are available in both winter and summer, which includes reasonably-priced skiing (42 runs available), hiking, mountain-biking/road cycling, paragliding, etc. For the Tour De France enthusiastic, Saint-Flour hosted a stage twice over the last 8 years.


The well-known spa of Chaudes-Aigues is only 27km away.


The region is renowned for its cheeses, "charcuterie", and traditional dishes. It is animated every summer with numerous traditional and unusual festivals (such as a folklore festival, street theatre,etc).
