La Chevronniere is a tiny hamlet of seven properties in the countryside south of the river Loire. It is very peaceful yet conveniently placed for all the famous Loire attractions – the chateaux, vineyards and many places of interest. Nearby are activities to enjoy such as swimming, cycling, fishing and walking. Ligueil and Loches are within 20 minutes drive, both towns have outdoor markets and supermarkets and Loches offers a good selection of restaurants, shops and bars.


There’s a great opportunity here to make a fantastic family home and/or holiday accommodation. The main house has a large living room (4.77m x 5.59m) with a sink in one corner, a shower room with loo and wash basin and a further two rooms which could easily be made into one larger room on the ground floor. The living area has a huge stone fireplace and exposed stone walls. There is scope to alter the layout to create a separate kitchen if required. A half-glazed stable door leads out to the patio and field /garden which is west facing so benefits from plenty of sunshine. This property would make a great little small holding. There’s enough land to grow vegetables, keep a few goats and hens and the hedgerows are full of berries in the late summer and autumn. The village of Betz-le-Chateau is less than a mile away, there you will find a plan d’eau, bar and fresh bread. The hamlet is surrounded by farm land and there are woods and lakes in walking distance, an idyllic place to live or take holidays.
