Situated in the prestigious “Domaine des Capitelles” residential development on the edge of the famous wine village of Fitou. Domaine des Capitelles is above Fitou village which nestles in a deep gorge. There are magnificent views of the Mediterranean coast, the Pyrenees and the Corbiere hills. The Domaine incorporates a pool complex and landscaped gardens.

There are two large swimming pools and a children's pool for use by all residents and guests of the Domaine The pools are open from April - October with one heated except in July and August. The pools are surrounded with spacious terraces with sun recliners freely available.

The nearest beaches, La Franqui and Leucate Plage, are less than 15 minutes by car. Both beaches are perfect for young children. The nearby salt water lagoons are famous for their oyster beds. These, with other local seafood, can be sampled at numerous restaurants throughout the region.

The area is renowned for it’s uncrowded sandy beaches, vineyards and medieval castles. It is an hour’s drive to Carcassonne, Collioure, Ceret, the Pyrenees and Spain. Outdoor activities include swimming, water sports, sailing, scuba-diving, windsurfing and golf. There are numerous walks in the nearby Corbiere hills and the Pyrenees. Ski resorts are less than a two hours drive.

The warm Mediterranean climate has over 320 days of sunshine annually and the air is clean and fresh. The Languedoc-Roussillon region is the warmest and driest part of France. It is also the largest wine producing region.

Fitou is a world famous wine village with numerous caves, three excellent restaurants and a very popular pizzeria. There is every opportunity to sample and purchase the renowned Fitou wines. The village has much character with a thriving, friendly community. There is a boulangerie, post office, tabac, hairdresser and supermarket, all within easy walking distance from the Domaine. Tennis and football facilities are also available. There are countless walks in the surrounding hills providing stunning views of the mountains and coast. During the summer months there are many wine and food festivals with live music, dancing and entertainment provided.

Fitou is situated just a 20 min drive from the nearest airport at Perpignan. Carcassonne and Beziers airports are 45 mins drive. Girona (Spain) is a 90 mins drive. Toulouse, Nimes and Montpellier airports are 2 hrs drive.

Fitou is 10 mins from the N10 autoroute.
