IFP: Quillan French Town House

The House in Quillan is a fairly typical French town house – low maintenance, basic but very comfortable. The lounge and combined kitchen are situated on the ground floor with the dining area to the side. Both sofas in the lounge are double sofa-beds for occassional guests. On the first floor is the master bedroom with double bed, chest of drawers, bedside tables and large walk-in cupboard with French doors to front and small balcony. Shower room ( wc, basin, shower, heated towel rail and storage unit). The layout on the second floor is the same as the first but with two single beds and the bathroom with WC and basin has a corner bath with shower attachment over. At attic level there is a double bedroom (at the moment only a single bed) and cupboard and a separate area for a clothes line and storage.
The kitchen is equipped with a gas hob, microwave (with grilling facility) but no oven, fridge with small freezing compartment, washing machine, hoover, iron and ironing board and cleaning utensils. There is sufficient bed linen, towels and flannels as well as dish cloths, tea towels and napkins. On the beds are duvets and the pillows are English style and not the French bolster type. The kitchen is fully stocked with crockery, cutlery, glassware and cutting utensils.
Tea, coffee, sugar, shampoo, washing-up liquid, cleaning products etc are all available for use all we ask is that what is used is replaced at the end of the stay. There may well be an unopened bottle of wine or two!
Quillan has a main line rail link to Limoux and Carcassonne which by car is about 45 mins away, Perpignan is about the same. Good selection of restuarants and quiet bars. Free parking is plentiful throughout Quillan.
Sports facilities are in the village and easy access to fantastic walks and stunning scenery.
For winter sports enthusiasts, the house is just 45minutes away from the ski slopes which cater for most grades of skiers.
