The village house is situated in the center of the village. It is one of the original village houses with the ground floor built in the 12^th century and the upper floors in the past three hundred years. Like all French village homes it is contained in a quarter with neighbors close by and the house connected on two sides. It is easy to lock up and low maintenance with plants on the terrace and in two courtyards.

The ground floor is beautifully restored with the original vaulted stone ceilings and is a separate unit for guests or a work space with a large bedroom ensuite and large bathroom with new bathtub and separate shower and dual sinks. The middle room can be used as another bedroom or a small lounge or could be turned into a second kitchen. There is also an enclosed laundry facility with washer and dryer. The third large room is beamed and faces the street with double glass doors. This room can be used as a salon, workshop, office, gallery or small store if you wish. There is a second entrance to the courtyard and house from an impasse or small thorough fare.

 Situated on the middle floor is a large terrace overlooking the rooftops perfect for dining and hanging out. Entering into the house is the large kitchen and living room with a ½ bath. The kitchen does need updating but can easily be done.

The top floor has two large bedrooms with tall ceilings (10-12 ft) and a full bath. A new roof has been put on July 2007 and guaranteed for ten years.

Vineyards, hiking, swimming and canoeing in the River Gard all surround the village and region easily accessing any outdoor sport you wish to find. The Pt. du Gard is 15 minutes drive as is Avignon and Nimes 30-45 minutes.

Transportation: The TGV is 30 minutes away in Nimes or Avignon. Nearby airports are Nimes, Montpellier, and Marseilles with many non-stop flights all over Europe.

5km down the road is Uzes a fabulous medieval village distinguished as the first Duchess of France with a beautiful chateau and towers dating from the 12th century. The village is built around the Place aux Herbes, the center square, where a round fountain sprays water into a stone pool and kids play happily. Eight narrow pedestrian only cobblestone streets extend from the center square like spokes on a wheel with shops, restaurants, and apartments on top. The town circles around the outside providing a community feeling in one big circle. Uzes is also the home to two summer festivals and an abundance of hiking trails marked throughout the area. For swimming enthusiasts there is a public pool in Uzes and new indoor pool in Nimes and the Gard River
