The neighbourhood is an old-establish quarter and the street is where the friendly local people come to sit and chat or take a glass on the terrace of the café, which also serves good regional fare which is very convenient after a long hard day on the beach! The town of Sete is a lively fishing town all year round where you can find all the amenities of a city. The streets by the canals are lined with cafés and seafood restaurants and there are colourful events throughout the year (see the tourist office website: www.ot-sete.fr ) The beach? How about 15 kilometres of golden sand which turn the sparkling Mediterranean turquoise at a mere 5 kilometres distance? This recently converted house is in perfect condition.
