We have recently converted our 19th century stable into our family home and 2 characterful gites.  Each of the gîtes has their own independent entrance and a furnished patio overlooking a shared (although very private), south facing, walled garden.  The garden has an outside shower, barbecue area and shady pergola. Inside is non-smoking. 

The interiors retain plenty of original character throughout, with beams, exposed stone and interesting quirky features. 

Downstairs it is open plan: the lounge area has a wood burning stove, tv, dvd and music system, the dining area, and a fully equipped modern kitchen with a washing machine, a dishwasher, a microwave, an oven and a hob. There is also a very handy cloakroom. 

On the first floor there are two double bedrooms, one with ensuite shower, and the main bathroom, which has a bath with a shower over, washbasin and wc.

On the second floor there is a large open plan mezzanine with four single beds. There is plenty of wardrobe space and shelving throughout. Linen and towels can be provided for a small additional charge and a cot and high chair are available upon request. We have decided to operate a “no pets” policy. 

St Laurent de la Salanque is ideally situated in the Pyrenees Orientales, which is a region that has so much to offer from its beautiful sandy beaches which include CANET PLAGE and LE BARCARES, fantastic day trips to VILLEFRANCHE LE CONFLUENT and the LITTLE YELLOW TRAIN, ANDORRA, the home of tax-free shopping, CERET, famous for its cherries and museums of modern art, the famous CATHARE castles, the picturesque coastal village of COLLIOURE, popular with the artists and of course the medieval city of CARCASSONNE. The African Reserve at SIGEAN is popular among families and open all year round. All year there are many local festivals held throughout the region. There will be something to suit all tastes!
