Give yourself that well deserved break you have been promising yourself. Our homes in Rural France will allow you to recharge yourself. Beautiful scenery, tranquil location. These 170 year old properties are located in the heart of Haute-Vienne a beautiful and Picturesque region in central France. They are set in a very rural hamlet off the beaten track. Surrounding villages offer quaint shops and Supermarkets for all your needs. The capital of the Limousin region is Limoges, which is a busy city. It is easily accessed by some of the major arteries in the country (A20 auto route). The nearest airport Bellegarde (Limoges) is only 40 minutes away. Whether youre a keen fisherman, cyclist, golfer or just enjoy relaxing, there is something for you. Within relatively short distances there are some major attractions. Visit some of the finest castles and chateaus in the country And see how the gentry of past years lived. The Oak beamed properties consist of two bedrooms, one with a double bed the other with twin beds, one property is fitted with a shower/massage cabin, the others have baths, with hand held shower attachment. The downstairs comprises of a lounge with open fireplace with wood burning stove, plus central heating if needed during the winter months, and fans during the summer. Hi-fi included. The kitchen/diner is well equipped with plenty of storage units, fridge, hob and oven. For those of you without adapters, English sockets are available. These properties are highly recommended for long lets. For long lets only, washing machine facilities are available. Outside facilities include, garden furniture, sun loungers, parasols and a communal BBQ, Local attractions are Lac Mondon only 5 minutes drive with beach and facilities, local village of Jouac has shop, restaurant/bar but nearest main town is Lussac-les-Eglises (6km) which has an excellent restaurant, spar, pharmacy, boulangerie, garage and bank. There are also other facilities in nearby St. Sulpice les Feuilles (15 mins). Poitiers, for Futuroscope is only 1 hours drive and of course Limoges, the capital of the Limousin is only 40 mins drive. Within relatively short distances there are some beautiful lakes available for swimming, visit Chaillac with its man made beach and water flumes bags of fun for all the family, plus Lac Mondon. The location of the Gites ares 15 mins drive from the A20 (which is the main route through from Paris to Toulouse) You will need to exit at Junction 22 signed St. Sulpice les Feuilles By train the nearest T.G.V. station is La Dorat (20 mins). By air there are now direct flights from Stansted Airport, London to Poitiers and also to Limoges, being operated by Ryanairlines and there is car hire available at the airport. Poitiers is approximately 1 hours drive away, and Limoges which is 40 minutes.
