Situated in this vibrant provincial town on the edge of the Massif Centrale, here we have a perfectly habitable townhouse with a lovely little garden a very short walk to all amenities including the quite superb church and the trout river. While waiting outside for the 5 minutes it took to get the owner there, I met no less than 7 of the neighbours – all of whom were simply charming, so if I wax a trifle lyrical about the house – forgive me! Ito the house we have an entry hall with absolutely lovely tiled floor and to the left we have a diner, with a a gorgeous fireplace, beyond a glazed partition wall we have a basic kitchen – both of these have lovely black and white tiled floors, so take the partition down and have yourself a lovely kitchen diner. Beyond the kitchen we have another room with a WC and a very smart little cellar and then we’re out to a cool little garden with small chicken sheds and ex-outside loo! From the entry hall we have a small room to the right that has been used as a bedroom, again there is a partition wall that needs to come down to make this into a pleasant sitting room with (then) an open oak stair up to the first floor. Up top, we have a large landing and two big bedrooms, a perfectly usable bathroom and a rather interesting 3rd, smaller bedroom with terracotta tiled floor. There is an attic above but this is not currently accessible – it would be very easy to continue the stairs to the top of the house and clearly there will be head height up there as there are two full size windows, facing the street. Just about 200 yards away from the house there is a plot of land on which there is a shed, a big walnut tree and slightly smaller cherry tree. This is a bit of a steal at this price – you will like the town and the neighbours were simply charming, the house could be up and running immediately but obviously there are plenty of improvements to keep you busy – a bit of a ‘must see’!
