La Varache - Reference HILL1460

La Varache offers two self-catering holiday homes (gites). They have both been tastefully converted from a 15th century house incorporating many modern facilities along side original old world beams and open log fires.

Gite One consists of two comfortable first floor bedrooms. One with a double bed and the other with a double and a single bed. There are also  two single fold-up beds. In the spacious lounge is an original inglenook type fireplace for cosy evenings next to the log fire.The sofa also converts into a queen sized bed enabling a maximum of 9 people sleeping in this gite. There is a full bathroom with bath shower and the kitchen is well equipped with washing machine, dishwasher etc.Off the kitchen there is a large stone built deck equipped with a table a chairs and lounge chairs. There is a BBQ area as well

Gite Two has a pleasantly decorated and comfortable lounge with a wood burning stove, dining table and a large bathroom under the mezzanine.  The living room has a sofa bed and a mezzanine bedroom with a double bed. There is a large kitchen which is also fully equipped as per gite one with all your requirements for self catering and cooking for all. The upstairs has an ensuite bathroom and a large bedroom with a double bed plus there is a sofa bed.  This room also benefits from a French window that looks over the valley with beautiful views. This gite can accommodate up to 8 people. Outside, this gite has its own deck outside the kitchen with picnic table, chairs and coffee table plus BBQ.

-There are Bar-B-Q areas for those who want to cook out at the same time enjoying a glass or two of wine while watching the sun go down. The gites can be divided in two and rented on a separate basis or booked together.

-Both gites have full central heating for all year round letting. There is “Sky TV free to air” in both lounges.

-Both decks face west and are a delightful for evening soirees

How do I get there?

The location of La Vareche is approximately  30 mins drive from the A20 (which is  the main route through from Paris to Toulouse). You will need to exit at Junction 35 in the direction of Eymoutiers By air there are now direct flights from Stansted Airport, London to Poitiers and also to Limoges, being operated by Ryanairlines and there is car hire available at the airport.  Poitiers is approximately 1 hour 30 minutes drive away, and Limoges which is 1 hours drive.
