Local description

This is a very pleasant gite complex. It consists of two finished gites, the owner’s house, a partially renovated cottage and a large games room, equipped for rainy days. There is a very large wooden barn used at the moment for log storage and workshop/garage and a large building which has the old bread oven at one end (in good condition). This could be used as either one large house or two more gites.

There is a good sized garden with ample room for a swimming pool and tennis court, and a large (0.5 acre) fishing lake.

All of the finished accommodation has been done to a high standard with good kitchens and the two gites have gas cookers, microwave oven and fridges and are totally equipped for six people. This is all included in the price. The owners’ house is being sold empty but will have left a good fitted kitchen which includes the cooker. It has a shower room downstairs and a bathroom upstairs. The fosse septique is one large one for the whole complex and will also take the partially renovated cottage. If the other barns are turned into gites they will need another septic tank.

The garden has a good selection of fruit trees which include cherries, pears, cider apples and a large walnut tree.

All electrics are new. There is gas central heating in the owners’ house and electric radiators in the gites. There is electricity and water to the last cottage but it is as yet not connected. There is electricity in all the other buildings and the bread oven barn also has water.

The complex is in a lovely rural position, ideal for a peaceful family holiday. The local shops are only four kilometres away and if you go 7km you arrive at Domfront for further shops and good restaurants and the lovely old medieval town.
