Purchased and restored by a U.S. LLC (Limited Liability Company composed of seven owners) founded in 1998, the property comprises two houses completely restored to their 16th century authenticity – yet replete with modern conveniences, fully furnished and equipped – plus a large, unrestored third house. Cottage No.1 – Living and dining room, kitchen, bath, two bedrooms. Cottage No.2 – Living room, large bedroom, mezzanine with beds, bath, laundry. (Nos. 1 and 2 comfortably sleep 14 and are centrally heated with double-glazed windows and opening skylights.) Cottage No.3 – Unrestored (except for exterior and renovated storage room). Yearly, the seven owners schedule occupancy on a rotating basis – each enjoying exclusive use of the entire property for a minimum of one month (in spring/summer/fall) and three weeks (often more) in winter. This is not a timeshare. You own one-seventh of the property and its contents outright. It becomes yours – yours to participate in any appreciation, to be part of your estate, and yours to sell at will at your own price. You and your fellow owners comprise the LLC, which functions like a homeowners association (annual meeting, by-laws, equal voting rights, agreed-upon weeks for exclusive use of property, equal sharing of expenses). The property manager is elected from among the owners. Cottages are for the exclusive use of owners and their guests – not to be leased or rented. (We owners treat the cottages as if they were our own – because they are!) Currently, owners are British and American, and inquiries from all nationalities are invited.
