A pretty house with an attractive little garden and in the centre of a historic village on the river Cele in the Quercy National Park.
The house has been fully renovated, with new electrics and plumbing but retains its character and charm, including original doors, windows, shutters and floorboards. It is a comfortable easy-to-run house, warm in winter and cool in summer, with terraces front and back.

There are magnificent views from the garden.
A quirk of the house is the outside stone staircase which leads up to a spacious landing, a bright bedroom with long shuttered windows, and the newly fitted bathroom with shower. Stairs from the landing go up to a very spacious top bedroom with exposed beams and a new oak floor.
The village of Marcilhac sur Cele is in an unspoilt beautiful valley and sits on the St James of Compostela trail. The village has a famous abbey at its heart. There is well run general store, a bakery, two art studios and a post office which has free internet. There are two restaurants in the village and a popular Tuesday market in the summer months. The beautiful Cele river runs through the village where people swim, canoe and fish. The village has a grass beach that runs down from the main square where everyone meets and relaxes in the hot weather.
The historic town of Figeac is 40 minutes’ drive along the valley and has rail links to TGV and Channel Tunnel routes. Toulouse, Limoges and Rodez airports are within two hours’ drive
