Description

Prices include end clean and linen and towels for 6 persons (2 more possible, e.g. for visitors). 10% discount for 2nd week. 10% discount for couples (off-peak).
An old farmhouse in  white Quercy stone (3 storeys, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms), lovingly (and child friendly) restaured, set  in a secluded garden in Cahors vineyards with lots of privacy and yet close to the village. You will love this if you like small medieval villages, cities like Toulouse and Cahors, historic places, vineyards, swimming in your private pool, barbecuing and reading and sunning in the large garden (sometimes deer visit there). Also great if you love your comforts (dish washer, washing machine, sat tv and dvd player, internet). Read on!
Most of the beds have Dunlopillo mattrasses and anti-allergic pillows. Large bedroom with queensize bed, children's bedroom with 3 single beds, cave room with 1 bed and very comfortable double sofa bed in living room. Two baby beds available (no linen). In the well-equiped kitchen-diner (oven, microwave) you can of course prepare your own lunches and dinners or you might use the barbecue (with shadow terrace). But if you don't want to cook you can go to Montcuq, Sauzet, Le Boulve or other nearby restaurants (all within10 km). The large 4x11metre private swimmingpool in the 4500 m2 garden has a transparent cover  so it can be used from April till October.
Lots of other outdoor activities are possible:  walking and table tennis on the premises. Biking, walking, quads, 4 x 4, horse riding, tennis, canoe, kayak, boat trips, hang gliding can all be found in the neighbourhood. Lively Cahors (20 km) has its cultural festivals, museums, shops and streets lined with shops and terraces were you can sip a strong coffee, enjoy a pastis or a three course lunch before you set off to explore the medieval part with its secret gardens, and the famous bridge. Discover the pittoresque Quercy villages and visit the medieval towns of St. Cirque Lapopie, Sarlat or Rocamadour (90 km max), or bastide towns such as Castelnau Montratier (13th century) and Labastide Marnhac.  Lots of festivals the whole year through: music, film, theatre, medieval, folklore, and horse riding (Les deux jours de Montcuq in Novembre). Don't forget the annual Sunday market in Montcuq. Take a rest on the shadowed terraces were the food is good, plentiful and  bon marché. Visit the local brocantes and the vide-greniers if you are into antiques (or bric à brac). The marches nocturnes give you the opportunity to eat freshly prepared local specialties, sitting at long tables among other tourists and inhabitants (best to take some throw away plates and cutlery with you: they only sell food and wine!). The castle of Bonaguil (Bird's museum) is very interesting for architecture lovers, who will also want to see the cathedral of Cahors.  You might visit the rock-perched  Saint Cirq Lapopie or Cajarc.  You can also visit la grotte de Roland with traces of a cave bear, the caves and cave houses of Pech Merle with hundreds of cave drawings and hand and foot prints (both within 15 minutes) and of course famous Lascaux (well, that will take a 2 hour drive…). Or you can just enjoy a peaceful holiday on the premises: sitting in the sun, going for a swim, walking in the garden, organising barbecues and having a glass of Cahors wine, as you don't need to drive afterwards. A picnic or a visit to the nearby restaurant; the choice is yours!
