The cottage is a renovated barn in a secluded setting in the Lot valley. It is a bright spaciousarea with open plan Kitchen,dining room and sitting room with double doors opening onto a south facing terrace. The Kithchen is well equipped with dish-washer, microwave, fridge/freezer, gas hob and electric oven. The sitting room has t.v. and dvd also a woodburner for those chilly autumn evenings.Un-limited internet use.
Leading up the spiral staicase you come to a large bedroom with a double and single bed from here you have a wonderful view over the garden and woodss beyond, separate bathroom.
you have joint use of the swimming pool with the owners.The pool is 8x4 meters and 1.20 deep throughout.It has its own south-facing terrace with pool loungers surrounded by a fragrant garden.
The owners reside on the property grounds along with their cat, dog, sheep and chickens.They respect holidaymaker's privacy but are on hand for advice and help if required.
This property enjoys one of the best positions of the Lot valley surrounded by small market towns but only 25 minutes from the medieval town of Cahors, 15 minutes drive thr dordogne, and a hour and a half drive from Toulouse'
The Lot valley is famous for it's beautiful villages, Cahors wine, prehistoric caves and chateaux. It is also perfect for outside activities :walking, cycling, canoeing, fishing, hang gliding, and horse riding are all available in the vicinity.
Local bakery and epicierie 2 km. It is in walking distance of the village of Pomarede which has a good restaurant.It's a 10 minute drive to Prayssac, a town with a wonderful friday mornig market, two supermarkets and small shops selling almosy everything you need, aqnd just a bit further to medieval Puy l'eveque, one of the prettiest towns on the river Lot.
