Description

The house is the village of Bouillac on the Aveyron /Lot border on the banks of the River Lot, about 20 minutes from Figeac and 40m from Rodez.  It has four bedrooms, two bathrooms and accommodates 8 people comfortably. The house is on two levels, with the living area on the first floor. This “upside down” arrangement allows you to make the most of the breeze during the day, and sleep in the coolest part of the house at night. The open plan living /dining area is bright and airy with two sets of French doors leading out onto the balcony. There are two bedrooms (1 twin, 1 kingsize) downstairs and two bedrooms (1 twin, 1 kingsize) upstairs. There is a laundry room on the ground floor, and a toilet with shower. There is a luxury family bathroom, with a spa bath, upstairs with a separate toilet. The balcony is on two sides of the house (east and south facing) with wonderful views of the river. It is child friendly with a secure gate, and is screened by trees, which helps to keep the house cool in summer. There are roller blinds which also help to keep the balcony cool. The house has about 1/2 acre of garden, mostly laid to lawn. It has a 5m x 10m swimming pool with a safety and a large sun terrace, which is enclosed by a fence.  The river Lot is quite literally at the bottom of the garden, but the garden has a fence running all the way round with three access gates. The house has a double garage and enough parking on the driveway for two cars. There is a small organic supermarket in the village and a boulangerie. There is a restaurant/bar within 5 minutes stroll of the house. The area has everything that great holidays are made of - wonderful markets, beautiful medieval towns, wonderful countryside and plenty of outdoor activities.
