This grand barn has recently been sensitively converted to a spacious and comfortable home. The barn is south facing with outstanding mountain views stretching from the pic du midi and Arbizon through the Louron valley to the high Pyrenees and the Spanish border.

The property is reached via its own private granite archway next to the beautiful 14th century church.

The village of Ris is a haven of tranquillity clung to the lush green mountainside of the Louron valley. The background noise of the river in the valley, the sheep bells and hum of cicades are all that break the serenity of Ris. With 3 large ski resorts within 20 minutes (Peyregudes, St Lary, Val Louron) and another 3 within 40min (la Mongie, Piau Engaley, Super Bagneres) it is the ideal base for winter sports. With outstanding walking, cycling (the tour de France passes through the valley most years), horse riding, dog sledding, fishing and many other things it is a great location for active all year round living or holidays.

Close to the amenities, shop (2 min) supermarket (10 min), Spa, pool (10 min) the barn is also very close to the charming market town of Arreau (10 min) with its wonderful Thursday market and wide selection of shops and restaurants. St Lary is only a further 10 minutes with enough restaurants to keep even the most demanding of foodies happy.
