Two gites for rent in an idyllic countryside location, near the beautiful medieval bastide village of Lautrec, close to the market towns of Castres and Realmont. Albi, the capital city of the Tarn is 30 minutes drive away. The gites; The first gite has two bedrooms, one bedroom with a balcony and a full bathroom suite. The second gite has one bedroom with ensuite facilities. Both gites have kitchen/dining and living areas. Terrace and bbq area. Facilities include Satellite TV,CD,DVD and Wifi. Linen is provided. Evening meals are available by prior arrangement, as are bicycles.

Local towns and villages: Lautrec (5 kms) is our nearest village (a 'plus beau village de France'), and is steeped in medieval history. It has bars, shops and regular summer activities including free live music evenings in the small amphitheatre. Castres and Realmont have bustling market days on Saturday and Wednesday respectively. Albi has the largest red brick built cathedral in Europe and is home to the famous Toulouse-Lautrec Museum, where a large collection of the artist's work can be seen.
Local activities Just a short walk down the drive is a walking and cycling trail and closeby is a bridleway linking Castres with Albi. If it is countryside you like then Lautrec is for you. It is an ideal place to come to unwind, relax and visit the beautiful Tarn region, said to be the 'little tuscany'. Horse riding, golf, swimming, sailing, canoeing, off-road buggies, nature trails and a bird sanctuary are all a short drive away.
