La Rivierette was first farmed 350 years ago and is  an unusual layout for a French farm. There is a central courtyard with cottages facing onto the courtyard.
Initially the family lived in the barn above the cattle, for warmth in winter. As the family increased individual cottages were built to house the extended family, with the grandparents living in one cottage,the eldest son and his wife and young family then added another cottage, which became too small as their family grew, and so another cottage was built. These three cottages which face onto the courtyard have been renovated keeping as many of the old features as possible. The Pigeonnier, which stands at the entrance to the courtyard, was built for two reasons, one to show the family's wealth and status and on a more practicalarivierette@hotmil.co.ukl level to  provide a constant source of food.
La Rivierette is ideally suited to provide a stress free holiday for couples, families or groups of people who like to holiday together but prefer their own space. The large 12x6 MTS pool which is fenced for peace of mind for those with smaller children provides a central meeting point.
Each cottage has its own private garden or space for relaxing and taking in the superb valley views.
Our aim is to provide a setting where everyone can relax, individually, or get together for convivial evenings on the covered terrace or the patio overlooking the swimming pool.  
The fish pond is an ideal place to watch the fish feeding and study the local wild life first hand, with the songs of the pool frogs and the tree frogs making an excellent back drop to the start of the evening.
La Rivierette has been a holiday destination for eleven years, with many people returning for the peace and tranquillity of this superb location and, in the process becoming friends.
