Set on the outskirts of the small village of Vernantes, 8 miles from the château town of Saumur, this charming cottage is stylish and comfortable and combines traditional charm with luxury conveniences. The interior has been newly refurbished and great thought has been given to interior design and finishing touches. As you enter you will be greeted with a ‘Little Treats’ pack containing essentials such as tea, coffee and fresh baked bread to get you in the mood for your holiday. The kitchen is fully equipped with washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer and coffee maker, in addition to essentials like kettle and toaster. The kitchen opens out through patio doors to a terrace and barbecue area. There is also an outside toilet. The dining area has a farmhouse kitchen table, which comfortably sits 4 plus room for 2 dinner guests. The lounge features an enormous stone fireplace (perfect to keep off the chill on cool evenings) and relaxing seating area. There is satellite TV, a DVD player and stereo system. DVD’s can be supplied upon request. Upstairs is a well equipped bathroom with bath, shower, washbasin and WC and hairdryer. There are 2 large bedrooms, one with a double bed, the other with 2 singles and there is plenty of storage space and room to relax after a hard day of wine tasting.  Gas fired central heating. Outside, there is a landscaped garden and a barn part filled with logs which are supplied for those who want to take advantage of the fireplace. Garden furniture and barbecue are also provided for those who want to dine ‘alfresco’ and take advantage of the long summer evenings. There is also off road parking. You can also take advantage of the library of books and information guides featuring restaurants, things to see and local food/ wine. We live in the area and are only a phone call away for recommendations and handy hints about the area.
