Gite des Forges is located in the pretty village of Angles, only 10km from the sandy beaches at La Tranche sur Mer in the Vendee. It caters for up to 5 guests in 2 bedrooms, with a sunny courtyard garden.

The accommodation is laid out over one floor and benefits from a very sunny courtyard garden, complete with al fresco dining area and sun loungers for your use.

Inside, there is a living/kitchen area with sofa, large dining table and chairs and a fitted kitchen - with a built-in electric oven, induction hob, fridge freezer, kettle, toaster and coffee maker.

There are two bedrooms - one with a double bed and the other with 3 single beds, and along the corridor there is a shower room with hand basin, WC, shower cubicle and washing machine.

Pillows, duvets and bed spreads are provided, but please bring your own pillow cases, sheets and duvet covers, as well as towels.

Within the village there are many local shops (bakery, butchers, fish monger, florist, and supermarkets) as well as bars, restaurants and a weekly market selling lots of local produce.
The beaches are only a 10 minute drive away and you will be spoilt for choice in which one to visit - you can surf, relax, make sand castles, explore the rock pools or join in with some of the organised beach entertainments.

The Beaches
There are miles of sandy beaches starting from as little as 10 minutes away. You can surf, body board, explore the rock pools, make sand castles or just relax in the sun!
There are many organised events on the beaches - including musical concerts and firework displays.

The town of Angles
The 11th Century church is in the centre of this pretty village of approximately 1700 inhabitants. There are many events held here during the summer months and the gite is located within walking distance of the central shops and restaurants.
There is even a wine cellar next door, where you can taste the local vintages!

Indian Forest Adventure Park
This is located in the forest about 15 minutes away from Angles. Here you can learn to swing through the trees or glide over the lake! For younger children there are also pony rides, bouncy castles and a mini-golf course. A fun day out!

Puy du Fou
This is located in the northern Vendee countryside, only 1 hour away. You will be transported back in time to the age of the Vikings, Gladiators, Musketeers, and Medieval Knights to watch spectacular shows. The Bird of Prey show is not to be missed, neither is the evening show with its grand fireworks finale!

La Tranche sur Mer
This is the nearest seaside town to the gite and here you will find plenty to entertain you - during the day and evenings. There are many ice cream parlours, souvenir shops and restaurants selling locally caught seafood. Musical evenings and organised events are often held throughout the summer months.

This house is available from May until the end of September each year for short holiday rentals, and can be rented out for longer periods from October until April.
