The main part of the house was renovated some time ago. Here we have the sitting room and dining room, 2 bathrooms and a double bedroom. Upstairs are 2 large bedrooms with 3 beds in each. There are low beams, so tall people would want to beware!

Within the last couple of years the rest of the property has had a complete refurbishment. Walls and beams have been discovered to reveal a property with immense character.
In one end, which used to be the barn, we have a 60 square metre kitchen/dining room. There are 2 outside doors, one leading to the old farmyard and the other leads to a covered patio with built-in bar-b-que, and the lawn and swimming pool.

Ideal location, being 1/2 km from local village, which has boulangerie and 2 restaurants. 4 km from 2 small towns. These both have beaches (safe swimming for children), restaurants, shops, pharmacies, etc. Chalais and Riberac are both within a 20 minute drive. Market days are Mondays and Fridays.

This is a very suitable base for sightseeing, as the Dordogne department is literally 1 field away. There are numerous famous Chateaux within reach. Follow the Dronne river up to Brantome and beyond...
