It is a self contained private gite - not part of a complex, therefore offering guests complete privacy & tranquility.

This typical charentaise cottage has exposed beams and natural stonework throughout.
It is set in 4 acres of privately owned grounds with a choice of 2 sun terraces - each having its' own barbeque, loungers, table & chairs for al fresco dining.

The 15' round above ground pool is for exclusive use by guests.

The cottage has a ground floor bedroom with natural pine floor, double bed, bedside tables & lamps, wrought iron wardrobe, dressing table area, mirror & power point.

Next door is the shower room with built in handbasin, roomy shower area, toilet, shaver/hairdryer point (hairdryer inc) & oil filled elec.radiator if needed.

The lounge/diner has a country feel with a woodburning stove - perfect for out of season stays. Furnished with a sofa, 2 armchairs, coffee table,English Sat.TV/video, Dvd, dresser, dining table & 6 chairs.
We supply a selection films, but please feel free to bring your favourites in film or music.
You can also connect to the internet from the comfort of your cottage with our free Wifi access.

Adjacent to the lounge/diner is the well equipped kitchen with full gas cooker, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, toaster, kettle, coffee maker and all the pots,pans,crockery & utensils one would need. Iron & board.

A washing machine is available in the barn opposite if needed at no extra charge.

The second bedroom is a large L shaped mezzanine on the first floor with a double & 2 single beds and plenty of storage space for clothes.
Alternatively the 2 single beds can be joined together to form a king size bed as illustrated in one of our photographs. They are comfortable, sturdy beds which don't drift apart when placed together.

Also on the first floor, accessed by a separate staircase is a second smaller lounge with views to the west - a quiet space ! comfortably furnished with cane furniture, pine floor,CD player, bookcase/books and an assortment of board games playing cards.

In the nearby village you can buy bread, meat & basic groceries.
There is a bar, pharmacy, post office & church.
Just 9 kms away there are 2 large supermarkets & restaurants.
Also in under half an hour there is a huge retail park just north of the city of Angouleme.
The city of Angouleme is also well worth a visit. It has a pedestrian shopping zone, covered market and many cafe bars & restaurants.
Limoge & Poitiers (airports) are just under 1 hr away.
Angouleme airport is just 20 minutes drive.
Cognac 40 mins. La Rochelle 1hr 30mins and Bordeaux just under 2 hours.
Paris is also easily accessed by taking the train (TGV) in under 2 hours 30 mins.
The Ports of Caen & St. Malo are approx 4 - 5 hours drive
To welcome you, we provide local wine, cheese, fresh bread, milk & butter on your arrival.
Normal changeover is 4pm on first Saturday to 11am on last Saturday, we do try however to be as flexible as possible.
