Cartier is located in the tranquil countryside near the village of Les Roches. The medieval town of Pons is only 5 minutes away by car or bicycle! Pons offers all facilities and amenities including banks, shops, restaurants, tourism information and activities. Cartier, originally a water mill, has been carefully restored keeping as many of the original features as possible and retains an atmosphere of the working mill it once was. Originally supplied by the River Medoc, which no longer flows beneath, Cartier now enjoys retirement!
The nearest town of significance is Pons. Rich in medieval history, Pons offers restaurants, shops, children's activities including swimming pool and river trips. 15 minutes to the south of Pons is the town of Jonzac.
