The three bedrooms are on the first floor - one has a fitted cupboard, and all have wooden floors. Bedroom one: 7 x 2.5m. Bedroom two: 3.50 x 3.10m. Bedroom three: 3.50 x 2.90m. (All measurements are approximate.) Sitting room with wood-burning stove, and large, open-plan dining room/kitchen. Shower-room and separate toilet.

The kitchen is 4.37m long, 3.60m wide, with large window overlooking the courtyard. The dining room is 3.54m long, 2.92m wide, with double window. There is a classic wooden French staircase leading up to the first floor.

Courtyard garden: 30m long (up to the back of the open barn) and 13m wide. The entrance to the courtyard is through two large metal gates, with a wooden pedestrian gate to the left. The house and barns run along the right-hand side of the courtyard as you enter, the open barn is across the end, and to the left are the workshops and covered seating area. The stable area and barns are large (50sq m each). There are also two smaller outbuildings, one of which houses the hand pump for the well

Néré, with its tree-lined market square, is a thriving, friendly community and the hub of the local area. There are two schools, one primary. Local amenities include two boulangeries (one adjacent to the house), chemist, bank, doctor, hairdresser, supermarket, butcher, post office, and hardware store. In addition there are two bars in Néré - one is also a tobacconist, and the other is a very successful and recently extended bar and restaurant run by an English/French couple (live entertainment). Nearby towns are St Jean d’Angély (bus service), Aulnay, and Cognac. Nearest airports are Poitiers, La Rochelle, and Angouleme.
