The quiet hamlet is 15 kilometres from the historical town of Saintes, which in having a population of 25,000 possesses the full range of facilities including a hypermarket sized Le Clerc, 2 cinemas (one of which shows English language films), hospital, pharmacy, good range of schools, sporting facilities and an excellent choice of restaurants. It is less than 1 kilometre from a village which possesses an excellent primary school and a small bar. There is a Doctor fluent in English about 7-10 min drive. There are also excellent clubs and activities for children in another nearby village.
We have not done any major work as property is in good condition and fully renovated. We have had double glazing put in throughout whole house and have had new electric heaters fitted throughout (used in combination with the two log burning stoves we have).
