Our recently renovated character cottage is situated in the historic old village of St Sauveur de Givre en Mai which lies 7km from the market town of Bressuire and 25km from Parthenay.

The village has a boulangerie within walking distance, a bar and Mairie (town hall) with post office counter. Children’s play park, sports fields, public fishing lake and country walks.

Bressuire has a market on a Tuesday and Saturday and the High Street has a good range of shops. The many restaurants offer a variety styles of cuisine. Railway Station.

The larger centres of Cholet, Angers, Niort, Nantes and Poitiers are easily accessible by road as are the many tourist attractions of the area.

Formerly the home of a tailor and his family, the house has now been modernised and refitted to offer you a comfortable stay. The private, pretty cottage garden has a central rose bed with and borders and small lawn. To the rear there is a paved terrace with patio furniture under the shade of a hazelnut tree. The garden is enclosed on all sides with gated access.

We live close by and are therefore on hand to welcome our guests and ensure they have an enjoyable stay.


Description of the accommodation:

The front door leads directly into the Lounge: [5.73m x 5.51m] comfortably furnished with a two-seater settee and two armchairs. TV, video and DVD player. Local TV channels. Radio Cassette/CD player.

Dining Room: [3.47m x 4.31m] with table and six chairs. Double doors lead out into the garden.

Kitchen: [2.47m x 2.32m] fitted with modern Hygena units and equipped with an electric cooker, washing machine, fridge, microwave and coffee filter.

Shower Room: [2.6m x 1.4m] Corner shower cubicle, wash hand basin, WC.

Stairs from the lounge lead to the first floor hallway with a Cosy Family Bedroom: [4.97 x 3.8m] + 2.07m x 2.21m] The room is L-shaped with a king size bed and a single bed. Built-in wardrobe and chest of drawers, bedside tables with lamps.

En-suite bathroom: [2.07m x 2.21m] Full size bath with mixer shower. Pedestal wash hand basin and WC.

Outside:

The garden has gravel pathways leading round to a paved terrace. BBQ. Garden table and chairs Central rose bed and flower borders and small area of lawn. There is gated access on three sides. Secure for animals and children!

Parking close to the house.

From JULY 2009 we will also be able to offer a second twin bedroom with ensuite cloakroom and mezzanine study area. The accommodation will then sleep max 5 guests.
