La Grange

Consists of two large one bedroom gites located in very tranquil settings in the Poitou-Charentes region of France. The gites are ideal for those who want to unwind in the peace of the French countryside, but still be able to enjoy the delights of village life.

The gites have recently been created and are located at the end of a road with no through traffic and just 20-30 minutes walk from the village.

Set in a small peaceful hamlet near Charroux and just a short walk from the River Charente. Surrounded by fields and paths this is the perfect place to wind down. A myriad of paths and tracks lead directly from the property making this the ideal location for those who like to walk or cycle. It would be possible to spend weeks in the area walking or cycling along the many paths, visiting all the picturesque villages and hamlets along the way.

Spend the whole day out exploring or spend some time relaxing in your own garden and pop on the Barbeque and open a bottle of wine. This really is the place if you want to wind down and relax.

The gites are located just over 2 km from the village of Charroux with a market, shops, bars, bank and more. This designated "cité aux tresors", has an excellent restaurant and several bars. There is all you will need for day-to-day shopping, and a weekly market.

There are many horse riding stables, swimming lakes all within a radius of 20 miles. An hour's drive will take you to places as diverse as Futuroscope or the Martyr Village of Oradour-Sur-Glane. There are many fetes and events taking place in all the surrounding villages and towns throughout the summer.

The gites consist of a well equipped ground floor kitchen, with fridge, electric cooker and microwave. The Sitting/Dining area has a table and chairs, TV and lounge suite. A Wooden staircase leads up to double bed mezzanine, modern en suite bathroom with WC, washbasin and shower. At the front of the gites you will find a patio area for relaxing with table and chairs.

The gites are a former barn converted into a holiday home in lovely rural surroundings, near the owner’s home. The gites are ideal for couples.

All linen is included in the weekly rental. The owners living nearby can also assist with any additional requirements that you may have.
