Situated in a pretty little hamlet, a stone’s throw from two villages and a short drive from Montmorillon, this barn conversion is simply beautiful, not a massive amount of land, but what there is in a long strip giving the most amazing views across to two superb chateaux. Entering the main building we follow a hall which has to the left, access to the kitchen / diner, this is beautiful, a door leads back out to the terrace from which we have entered and another to the rear giving out to the terrace with the most fantastic views. The kitchen is fitted, pretty, and ergonomically designed, with lots of work surface, a breakfast bar and lots of light – lovely, the diner is a similarly excellent space to share a meal. Further into the house and we come to one of the most splendid living rooms I’ve visited, stone tile floors, massive window to the front, enormous sliding doors to the rear with fantastic views, fireplace to the left so you can enjoy the view and the fire at the same time, and open to the rafters with mezzanine wrapped around – stunning. To the right of the sitting room we have a good sized TW room (bureau / bedroom) with laminate floor and window out to the lane which runs through the hamlet. To the rear we have a gorgeous bathroom, separate WC and laundry room. Up the open stair from the sitting room we have (following the mezzanine balcony round) two good sized bedrooms with en-suite shower rooms, board floors and very light airy atmospheres (and stunning views!). A dressing room is followed by a single bedroom, used as an office area, after which we have another lovely bedroom with exposed beams, board floor and views. A separate WC is then followed by another bedroom with exposed beams. Outside the house we have a big barn – easily converted if required – behind which we have a gorgeous swimming pool with the kind of views you have dreamed of. Another terrace is situated behind the main house, accessed from the kitchen and the living room – just gorgeous. This is one of the loveliest properties I have visited and the price makes it a ridiculous bargain – the ONLY downside is the lack of lots of land – frankly I write that down as a bonus!
