The region has gently rolling landscape, with farms, forests, picturesque villages and 4 beautiful rivers (the Gartempe, Vienne, Anglin and Creuse). There are plenty of sporting activities, as well as places of great historic interest and good shopping and entertainment facilities. From here, you can also easily visit the Loire to the north, the Limousin to the south and the Brenne National Park to the east.
