The property is in a tiny hamlet (7 houses) in the Vienne region, near the small town of St Savin with its world heritage site Abbey. It is also near Angles sur l’Anglin – famous for the ruined castle and picturesque village spanning the river Anglin.

The property is about 45 km east of Poitiers, which has an airport and mainline station. The region has gently rolling landscape, with farms, forests, picturesque villages and 4 beautiful rivers (the Gartempe, Vienne, Anglin and Creuse). There are plenty of sporting activities, as well as places of great historic interest and good shopping and entertainment facilities. From here, you can also easily visit the Loire to the north, the Limousin to the south and the Brenne National Park to the east.
