The development
The residence Les Bergers, situated in Pra Loup 1600 is only 250 metres from the ski lifts and in immediate proximity to all amenities and restaurants. The location

It is part of the ski domain known as L�Espace Lumiere, with 180 km of pistes ranging from 1 600 to 2 600 metres of altitude, 50 ski lifts, 255 snow canons , 80 trails for all levels (25 blue, 16 green, 34 red, 5 black and 1 mauve track Milka) and a range of restaurants and bars. In addition, in 2009 the Espace Lumiere was modernised to a cost of 20 million Euros, with new cable cars, a jardin de neige ski school, a beginner�s snow lift and soon a large underground car park. The Southern Alps sees more than 2 million touristic stays from December to April, 13 million overnight stays and a tourist consumption of up to 753 million Euros.

Activities
In winter of course a large variety of ski-based fun is available; including snowboarding, snow shoeing, cross country skiing etc. In summer, mountain biking, rafting, canyoning, hiking, horse riding, golf, rock climbing, paragliding and canoeing are popular.

Local food and specialities
The area is known for its Brindilles, long thin spicy sausages, goats� cheese from Banon, as well as lamb from Sisteron, wild spinach ravioli and raspberry tartlets, with dandelion, truffles and cepes also important. Vineyards close to the border the Hautes-Alpes produce some renowned vintages such as the Coteaux de Pierrevert.

By plane: Pra Loup is 2 hours 20 minutes from Nice Cote d�Azur Airport with regular flights to the UK under 3 hours from Marseille Provence Airport with flights to the UK
