Other permitted grapes for the red wines are Grenache, Cinsaut, and small quantities of Syrah and Carignan. Bandol is consequently also a popular tourist destination. Along the same stretch of coast as Sanary on the other side (to the East) lies Six Fours les Plages, famous for its long beaches, forest, Batterie du Cap Nègre, Chapelle de Pépiole, Chapelle Notre-Dame de Bonne-Garde dite Notre-Dame du Mai.
